ARVENSES ASSOCIATED WITH THREE CROPS IN THE CICA FARM, CIMITARRA SANTANDER
Abstract
Abstract: Weeds are called (weeds) or undesirable herbs by field workers, they grow wild naturally in paddocks, crops, almost anywhere in the field. They develop quickly, in any climate or soil types, some are dominant over others, with easy adaptation, propagation, developing different strategies to compete for nutrients, light and space. The objective of this work is to induce students of the agricultural modality of the Colegio del Carare CICA, in Cimitarra Santander, to know the vegetation associated with crops in the experimental farm of the CICA, where a study of weeds was carried out in three demonstration plots (one per crop). The plots are located in the yarumos, cacao and plantain. In each of the plots, weed species were counted, collected and identified, finally with the collected species a herbarium was built, using the methodology of "systematic botanical principles" (Martínez, 2014). The method used was manual eradication for sampling and identification. The pedagogical practices that are developed with the students in the CICA farm, contribute to the development of pedagogical and research projects, are part of the agricultural and investigative competences in the formative research, where the student acquires skills on experimental designs with the work of demonstrative plots , identifying, evaluating and analyzing aspects of the association and dominance of some weeds in the study areas.
