Given the increase in electricity consumption, energy companies should build new power plants to meet the demand affecting the environment; to reduce these effects worldwide has been encouraged and regulated the use of alternative sources, thus, this project is proposed to supply electricity to a house in the municipality of Popayán, Cauca; having as main source photovoltaic solar energy, performing automatic load management between this and the public network, promoting the rational and efficient use of energy, compliance with national and international policies and reducing CO2 emissions. The supply from the photovoltaic grid to the load depends on the voltage in the accumulation bank and the solar irradiance; a management system is implemented that performs automatic transfer of the circuits to the public power grid, or manual transfer by the user according to his preferences, but subject to the technical restrictions imposed on the accumulation bank.
In this project, the power of the installed equipment was characterized, the baseline was established to calculate the components of the photovoltaic system and its electrical design; a monitoring, supervision and control system was implemented to transfer the load between the photovoltaic system and the public grid; tests are carried out to evaluate the operation of the equipment and the programming performed, qualitative and quantitative analysis is made through statistical techniques of the results obtained where the correct operation of the system is evidenced
